Volunteering with Lawndale Art Center

Programs and exhibitions at Lawndale Art Center are made possible by charitable contributions, memberships, fundraising events and the work of many dedicated volunteers.

Volunteers are needed for every aspect of the work we do, including serving refreshments at opening receptions and special events, preparing the gallery for exhibitions, installing exhibitions, and general office assistance.

To find out more about volunteering at Lawndale, contact Emily Fens at efens@lawndaleartcenter.org.

Internships

Lawndale Art Center seeks interns to assist the staff with tasks such as assistance with exhibition installation, research and archiving, special events and daily activities associated with gallery administration. Preference is given to individuals currently enrolled in an undergraduate studio art degree program, and recent graduates (within one year of graduation). The internship schedule follows the academic calendar and takes place during the spring, summer and fall semesters.
