Artist's Statement:
I am interested in A lot and the nothing. In collecting materials that have traces of use of life. In memories and dreams. In the variety of one thing. In the open ended and the ongoing thing. In the pure, direct and honest. In empty spaces. In fragments that are starting points of narratives. In the grid as a diary. In accumulation. My thoughts. In the strangeness of life. In patterns and repetition. In blue, as it represents peace, meditation and escape. In unfolding and layering. In visual illusion. In the arbitrary. In emotion. In the relation between drawing and painting. In dislocation of time, place and scale. In symbolism. In collecting images....in order not to forget them.
The works presented on this site inspired me to make short animations of them. In the animation, I make them ?come alive for a few seconds?.
