Artist's Statement:
My artwork is whimsical and impressionistic, inspired by children`s art, nature and Post-Impressionism.
Currently exhibiting at “Women in the Arts,“ Museum of the Americas, Miami, FL Mar 9-31; “The Primavera Show,“ Dunbar Galleries, Galleria 3, Mar 29-Apr 5.
Artist's Bio:
I am a self taught artist. I studied studio art at Ohio State University and Columbus School of Art and Design. I have a Master`s degree in Art History from Tufts University and I am completing a Ph.D. in Aesthetics at the University of Texas, Dallas. I am the former curator of the Cape Ann Historical Museum in Gloucester, MA. My paintings are naïve and primitive interpretations of light and nature. I teach and exhibit in Houston, Texas at local colleges and galleries. Recent exhibitions include faculty shows at Wharton County Junior College October 2004; North Harris College December - January 2005; North Harris Performing Arts Center “Synergy“ February 2005.
