Artist's Website

Artist's Bio:

Born in Texarkana, Texas, in 1952, Don Moser spent his formative years in conventional activities of East Texas affluents. He matriculated at Rice University in 1970 when he and his family moved to Houston. His first A grade came with a philosophical play about Socrates’ life, and thus began his career in seeking fundamental explanations. The early 70’s were politically tumultuous in the U.S., and Don came under the influence of leftist political thinking, to the extent that he traveled to Salzburg, Austria, to study in a socialist country and close to other Marxist states. Returning to the U.S. a year later, Don decided to couple his philosophical interests with a practical application: media. He enrolled in the radio-tv-film department at the University of Texas at Austin, financing his education by way of newspaper delivery and pizza cooking. Don graduated from UT in 1975 and gained employment at KSAT-TV, the ABC affiliate in San Antonio, Texas. He advanced from studio technician to producer of a local news magazine—San Antonio Illustrated—that after his departure became the model for other television news magazines, including PM Magazine.
His interest lay, though, in motion pictures, and he moved back to Houston to write a feature-length screenplay, “On the Bus,” which was represented by Boyd Talent Agency in Hollywood for a couple of years in the early ‘80’s. The play did not sell, though, and Don went into education (adjunct professor of philosophy at local community colleges) and advertising (marketing director for ad agencies and media outlets). A collection of his poetry from youth has recently been released by PublishAmerica, and he continues to produce digital videos of a metaphysical bent.
