Artist's Statement:
All of my work is an effort to remember and celebrate. Normally I work in series, often on several series simultaneously. Currently I am working with men?s ties in many media, from weaving and sculpture to acrylic paintings, wall hangings, quilt-making, and video. Pictures one and two show samples from this series. Picture three is the last painting in the Oriental Theater/Chicago series and depicts a Harlem night club sequence in the theater setting. This series of larger paintings celebrates a great era of film making and opulent movie theaters.
