Artist's Bio:
Raised in west Texas, Richard Rebelo?s interest in art began with the study of architecture at Cornell University. When things got expensive, he continued his studies at the University of Houston, earning a degree in Literature in 1995. After a brief stint in the wicked world of advertising, he pursued his passion for painting while teaching and tutoring in the public schools. He currently lives at the Palmer House, an Artist Residency that caters to creative lifestyles. Rebelo?s paintings have found there way into collections around the world: Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Boston, Paris, France, Vigo, Spain, St. Petersburg, Russia, and Sidney, Australia. After returning from France and Spain this summer, Rebelo is in Houston working on a new body of work.
