Artist's Statement:
My work expresses mood, energy and different states of mind. I work with a stylized figure that is placed in a certain surrounding or is in some sort of action/movement to express the human condition of frustration, contemplation, transformation, and the various emotions we deal with in relation to ourselves and others. My ideas come through my own memories and everyday experiences. It starts with the personal, but my desire is to have others relate to the work, in where the viewer has felt the same way too, at one time or another. I observe nature a lot and the changes that occur in the seasons and connect it to the growth, acceptance, flow and peace in life we all strive for. Sometimes to get to that level we go through very tence, anxious times just as you will see a thunderstorm develop or a sky clear up after a hard rain. It is all energy and motion and we are a part of that.
