Why I do What I Did
Using metaphysical Theory as a spring board. I attempt to show how over-looked and mundane objects possess beauty. These objects are great in form or abstract form and function. I use canvas or found objects as a means to this end. I enjoy the possibilities of interpretation. If you study the surface of this series you can see abstracted forms of surrealism, Dada, and obvious intent in these simple, delicate paintings.
To have the viewer contemplate, and be confused at first pass is my goal. The message should be universal and personal for everybody. To be an Artist is to be a filter of reality.
