Artist's Statement:
I'm starting to believe that my sculptures are some of my best friends. I build them, and then they create me as an artist. Together we laugh at our own natures and constantly trip over each other wherever we go. We have a good time, but we talk about the hard stuff too--God, modernity, nature, gender, and the act of creation. Yet regardless of how everyone is feeling at the time my art creates me, the artist that emerges inevitably lives in a shack in the woods in Mississippi and plays the banjo.
