Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos is a celebration honoring those who are no longer living. This website reflects a collaboration between Lawndale Art Center, Houston area art educators, and the Art Education Program and the Laboratory for Innovative Technology in Education at the University of Houston to provide online information for those who wish to better understand the traditions associated with Day of the Dead festivities.

This collaborative process reflects an ongoing integration of ideas for the teaching and communication of art facilitated through technology. Click teacher comments to view the input of Houston art educators participating in the development of this website.
