Darryl Lauster, HCC-Northeast gallery director, Ann Holloman, Assistant director for Lawndale Art Center, and Chelby King, Executive director for Lawndale Art Center supervise the installation of student work.

Through the Day of the Dead Education Program, Lawndale Art Center (LAC) encourages teachers to educate their students about this important Mexican event and its related art practices. LAC staff assists teachers in coordinating activities for their students. Because of the renovation project at Lawndale, this year's event was held at Houston Community College-Northeast in Northline Mall. Lawndale Art Center will re-open in February 2005.
